The Noh Lens provides online Japanese cultural grounding reviews, Noh aesthetics reviews, and related creative advisory feedback for games, films, stories, AI art, worldbuilding, and other Japan-inspired creative projects.The service is provided online through written PDF reports, email communication, intake forms, and optional paid advisory calls where applicable.The service is advisory in nature. It does not provide legal, trademark, historical, religious, financial, production, or localization advice.

Additional fees

There are no shipping fees because this is an online service.Depending on the customer’s payment method, card issuer, bank, currency conversion, international transfer, or payment platform, additional fees or exchange rate charges may be applied by third parties. These are the responsibility of the customer.If submitted materials exceed the selected package scope, additional fees, a revised timeline, or a custom quote may be required before review work begins.Any applicable taxes, if any, will be shown before payment or included in the final quote where applicable.

Cancellation and refund

Each review is a custom, time-based creative advisory service.Before review work begins, cancellation or adjustment may be possible if the submitted materials are outside the selected package scope or if a custom quote is required.Once the review process has begun, refunds are not available except where required by applicable law.If The Noh Lens is unable to deliver the agreed review for reasons on my side, a full refund will be issued.Because this service provides cultural and creative feedback, refunds are not offered solely because the customer disagrees with the recommendations or chooses not to use the feedback.For customers in jurisdictions with statutory withdrawal rights, additional consent may be requested before review work begins.

Scope limits

Each package has defined text and visual limits.Quick Review:
Text limit: up to 750 words.
Visual limit: up to 3 images.
If both text and images are submitted, both limits apply.Standard Cultural Grounding Review:
Text limit: up to 5,000 words or 15 pages, whichever is shorter.
Visual limit: up to 10 images.Standard No-AI Manual Review:
Text limit: up to 3,000 words or 10 pages, whichever is shorter.
Visual limit: up to 6 images.Noh Aesthetics Deep Review:
Text limit: up to 12,000 words or 35 pages, whichever is shorter.
Visual limit: up to 25 images.Deep No-AI Manual Review:
Text limit: up to 7,500 words or 25 pages, whichever is shorter.
Visual limit: up to 15 images.Full scripts, large game bibles, unreleased studio IP, and multi-document reviews require a Custom Studio Review quote.

Digital delivery

Reviews are delivered digitally, usually as a PDF report sent by email or provided through an agreed online delivery method.The customer is responsible for ensuring that they can receive email and open PDF files.No physical goods are shipped.

AI-assisted review

This service is AI-assisted and human-reviewed by default.AI may be used for first-pass analysis, issue detection, and report drafting. Final cultural judgment is always made by a human reviewer.For projects with strict AI-processing restrictions, a No-AI Manual Review option may be available for Standard and Deep packages.No-AI Manual Review is not available for Quick Review.

Intellectual property

Client-provided materials remain the property of the client.The Noh Lens does not claim ownership of submitted scripts, images, concepts, names, worldbuilding materials, or other client-provided materials.The client may use the delivered review, comments, recommendations, and written feedback for their own project.The Noh Lens retains ownership of its general review methods, templates, frameworks, and non-client-specific materials.

Disclaimer

Acceptance of terms

By accessing this website, requesting a review, submitting materials, making a payment, or using any service provided by The Noh Lens, you agree to these Terms & Refund Policy.If you do not agree to these terms, please do not purchase or request a review.Additional written terms may apply to Custom Studio Review projects. If there is a conflict between these terms and a separately agreed written agreement, the separately agreed written agreement will control for that project.

The Noh Lens provides online Japanese cultural grounding reviews, Noh aesthetics reviews, and related creative advisory feedback for creators and teams working on games, films, stories, AI art, worldbuilding, and other Japan-inspired projects.The standard deliverable is a written digital report, usually provided as a PDF.Live advisory calls, No-AI Manual Review, and Custom Studio Review are available only where expressly agreed.

Not certification / no guarantee

The Noh Lens provides cultural and creative feedback from one Japanese cultural perspective.The service does not certify authenticity, guarantee audience reception, guarantee commercial success, prevent public criticism, or represent all Japanese people.The service is intended to help creators identify potential cultural risks, shallow or stereotypical patterns, naming issues, aesthetic opportunities, and deeper creative directions.The service is not legal, trademark, historical, religious, financial, production, or localization advice.

Packages and scope

Each package has a defined review scope, including text limits, visual limits, delivery format, and review depth.Materials outside the selected package scope may require additional fees, a revised delivery timeline, or a Custom Studio Review quote.The Noh Lens may decline or re-quote a project if the submitted materials are outside the selected package scope, contain sensitive content that cannot be reasonably reviewed, or require expertise outside the service scope.

Material confirmation

Delivery timelines begin after material confirmation.“Material confirmation” means that:
- Payment has been received.
- Required materials have been submitted.
- The submission is within the selected package scope.
- AI-assisted or No-AI handling has been confirmed.
- Any necessary clarification has been completed.If materials are missing, outside scope, unclear, or require additional confirmation, the delivery timeline does not begin until those issues are resolved.

Payment

All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.Quick Review is paid upfront at checkout.Standard and Deep Reviews are paid after scope confirmation and before review work begins.Custom Studio Reviews are quoted individually.Review work begins only after payment, required materials, scope, and AI-assisted or No-AI handling have been confirmed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.The customer is responsible for any third-party fees, currency conversion fees, bank fees, card issuer fees, international transfer fees, or similar charges.

Cancellations and refunds

Each review is a custom, time-based creative advisory service.Before review work begins, cancellation or adjustment may be possible if the submitted materials are outside the selected package scope or if a custom quote is required.Once the review process has begun, refunds are not available except where required by applicable law.If The Noh Lens is unable to deliver the agreed review for reasons on my side, a full refund will be issued.Refunds are not offered solely because the customer disagrees with the recommendations, chooses not to use the feedback, changes their project direction, or expected a different creative opinion.If a refund is issued, any payment processing fees, currency conversion fees, or bank charges may be handled according to the rules of the relevant payment processor, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

EU / statutory withdrawal rights

Some customers may have statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights depending on their jurisdiction.Where applicable, The Noh Lens may request express consent to begin the review process before the end of any statutory withdrawal period.If the review is fully delivered after such consent, withdrawal rights may be limited or lost to the extent permitted by applicable law.If a customer withdraws after work has begun but before completion, fees may be charged for work already performed, where permitted by applicable law.Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for:
- Providing accurate contact information.
- Submitting materials within the selected package scope.
- Confirming that they own or have permission to share the submitted materials.
- Avoiding submission of unnecessary highly sensitive personal information.
- Identifying whether materials are confidential, unreleased, or subject to special handling requirements.
- Selecting No-AI Manual Review if strict AI-processing restrictions apply.
- Reviewing the scope, delivery timeline, refund policy, and legal notices before purchase.

Confidentiality

All reviews are handled confidentially.The Noh Lens will not intentionally publish, disclose, or share client-submitted materials except as needed to provide the service, process payment, comply with law, handle disputes, or as otherwise agreed.For confidential or unreleased projects, clients should submit excerpts, summaries, redacted documents, or representative samples instead of full scripts or full production materials unless a Custom Studio Review arrangement has been agreed.Anonymized findings may be used as portfolio examples only with explicit permission.

AI-assisted processing

This service is AI-assisted and human-reviewed by default.For AI-assisted client reviews, I use business- or enterprise-oriented AI services selected for client data protection, based on the current provider terms and settings available at the time of processing.Under the current enterprise settings I use, submitted prompts and outputs are not used to train foundation models.AI may be used for first-pass analysis, issue detection, and report drafting. Final cultural judgment is always made by a human reviewer.For projects with stricter requirements, please choose the No-AI Manual Review option.

No-AI Manual Review

No-AI Manual Review is available only for Standard and Deep packages where expressly selected and confirmed.No-AI Manual Review is not available for Quick Review.Because all materials are reviewed manually without AI-assisted summarization or first-pass analysis, stricter text and visual limits apply.No-AI Manual Review may require a longer timeline and additional fees.No-AI Manual Review means that client-submitted review materials will not be processed through third-party AI systems for the purpose of performing the review. It does not prevent ordinary email, storage, payment, security, or legal compliance processing by relevant service providers.

Intellectual property

Client materials remain the property of the client.The Noh Lens does not claim ownership of submitted scripts, images, concepts, characters, names, worldbuilding materials, or other client-provided materials.The client may use the delivered review, comments, recommendations, and written feedback for their own project.The Noh Lens retains ownership of its general review methods, templates, frameworks, examples, and non-client-specific materials.The client is responsible for obtaining any permissions necessary to submit third-party materials for review.

Portfolio use

The Noh Lens will not use client materials, project names, screenshots, scripts, images, or identifiable project details as public portfolio examples without explicit permission.Anonymized and generalized observations may be used internally to improve non-client-specific review templates and processes.Public case studies, testimonials, or portfolio samples will be used only with the client’s explicit permission.

NDA for custom projects

NDA discussion may be available for approved Custom Studio Review projects.Standard packages do not automatically include a separate NDA.If a project requires a separate NDA, special confidentiality handling, No-AI review, or studio-level procurement requirements, please request a Custom Studio Review before submitting sensitive materials.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Noh Lens’ total liability for any claim related to a paid review is limited to the amount paid by the client for that review.The Noh Lens is not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, reputational, production, publication, platform, commercial, or other losses arising from the use or non-use of the review feedback.The client remains responsible for final creative, production, publication, legal, localization, and business decisions.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles.Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Jurisdiction

To the extent permitted by applicable law, any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Osaka District Court in Japan.Nothing in this clause limits any mandatory jurisdictional rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes to terms

Retention

Submitted project materials are deleted within 30 days after delivery unless otherwise agreed.Order records, invoices, payment records, dispute records, legal compliance records, and tax-related records may be retained for longer where required or permitted by law.Email communication and service records may be retained as needed for customer support, dispute handling, legal compliance, and internal record keeping.Anonymized findings may be used as portfolio samples only with explicit permission.
